What leaders have to say about TML

Dr. Charles Dedrick

“We are excited to partner with Edjuncture and its founder Harry Aurora who is widely recognized as an Edtech leader. Our newest partnership with Edjuncture is Thinking Maps Leaders which is an invaluable service to help facilitate solutions to the issues facing our districts today.”

Dr. Donna DeSiato
Superintendent of Schools, East Syracuse Minoa Central School District, New York

Through the Thinking Maps Leader (TML) process you are not just building capacity in the individual people, you are building capacity in the system. TML is a way of thinking and a tool that engages people in solving a problem now and in the future.

Supporting New Administrators and Teacher Leaders

Leadership sessions are for early career administrators or those who are new to their roles. The day is designed for 6 administrators. There is a group session related to a school theme and 6 individual coaching sessions. These days are scheduled to create a community of learners while providing individual support for new administrators. These are available in-person, virtual, and/or hybrid. The topics and goals are designed based on the needs of the districts.

Executive Development Programs

These programs meet the professional development goals of the entire leadership team from high potential managers primed for career advancement seeking new insight into today’s complex challenges. These sessions are available in-person, virtual, and/or hybrid. The topics and goals are designed based on the needs of the cabinet level leaders.

Strategic Planning, Goal Setting and Retreat Facilitation

Bringing teams together to review data both qualitative and quantitative and work through a process for developing shared goals

These can be internal, BOE and cabinet, or community facing meetings. These sessions are available in-person, virtual, and/or hybrid. The topics and goals are designed based on the needs of the cabinet level leaders.

Pipeline Development Program

With the shortage of school leaders, it is incumbent on school districts to create leadership pipelines of caring practitioners that can continue to mold the district in a strategic direction. Therefore this program allows for a process of application, selection and leadership development to ensure the district has candidates ready to fill next level leadership roles. The goals and outline for this program will differ based on district goals and it will be tailored to the needs of the school district community. The topics and goals are designed based on the needs of the cabinet level leaders.

Goal Development at all levels

Have a problem that is a challenge to solve in a district? This program is designed to address situational issues on an already strained leadership team. This program helps to unpack a particular issue with a trained facilitator to arrive at a resolution or strategic plan. This is an opportunity for “an extra set of hands” that will free the leader to oversee an initiative while attending to their regular responsibilities. The process is designed at the direction of the district/school leader. Shared facilitation or preparation of facilitation materials is included

How It Works

Aligned with Thinking Points, our model of support integrates cognitive
processes in application, communication, generating sustainable solutions
and assessing progress over time.

Effective thinking involves key areas of brain research, cognitive science and effective instructional strategies that begin at the leadership level. The model below is an example of how understanding thinking drives performance.
